Why even cheap Android smartphones are better than iPhone 13 Pro

Yesterday Apple introduced the new iPhone 13. There were 4 models, among which there are two advanced models with specifying prefixes, but for convenience, they still generalize them and call them one name. Even though the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max turned out to be much more advanced in technical terms, in comparison with modern smartphones on Android, they do not look like that at all. Let’s try to figure out where Apple faked it and why all this could have been given to users much earlier.

What to buy instead of the iPhone 13 Pro

That’s all. Frankly speaking, sparsely. But it becomes even more surprising how Apple even dared to offer users such – if I may say so – an upgrade, when its competitors work at a truly different level and offer devices of a completely different quality.

Well, see for yourself. Displays with a frequency of 120 Hz are no longer uncommon. Today, they are equipped not only with flagships but also with mid-range devices. You can easily find a smartphone for 20-30 thousand rubles, which could boast of an increased refresh rate. Take the Realme GT Master Edition, which comes with a 120Hz screen for a little over 20k.

I’m not even talking about slightly lower rates. After all, screens with a frequency of 90 Hz come across even in the initial price segment: Redmi 10, Poco M3 Pro, Galaxy A52. In general, there are enough applicants. But this is a completely different order of prices. Redmi 10 can be snatched for 10 thousand rubles, Poco M3 Pro is slightly more expensive, but in general, no more than 15 thousand rubles. How much does the iPhone 13 Pro cost? At least 10 times more.

Which smartphone camera is better than the iPhone 13

The camera is a different story. This year Apple has equipped the iPhone with support for macro mode and 3x optical zoom. But Android smartphones have had a macro lens for a long time, and there is even a 10x zoom. Moreover, this is precisely optical magnification without loss of quality, and not digital.
But there are also hybrid solutions like the Galaxy S21. The device allows you to use both optical and digital zoom in pairs, due to which the proximity increases. Of course, enlarging the frame 100 times is pointless, because instead of a picture you get buckwheat porridge, but you can use 20x zoom.

Why Android smartphones are better than iPhone

As for the autonomy of the iPhone, there were never enough stars from the sky. Even though after the release of the iPhone XR, Apple fans shouted as one that now iPhones began to live for a long time everything turned out to be different. Today, even the most inexpensive Android devices live much longer.
It’s not just about energy efficiency and optimization, but also large batteries, which Apple still avoids. Yes, the iPhone 13 Pro started working 2.5 hours longer than its predecessor, but by and large, this will not affect anything, because many devices on Android live not 2 hours, but 2-3 days longer. As you can see, the order of the clocks is completely different here.

The speed of Android smartphones

As for computing power, here, perhaps, the leadership remains with the iPhone. Another thing is that in fact, such power is not needed. Apple has always referred to iOS as running smoothly and smoothly, but Android hasn’t had these issues for years. The operating system from Google functions properly on both cheap smartphones and flagships.

They say that high power is needed in the camera. Say, this is how it is possible to use more advanced post-processing algorithms and neural networks. But Google does not prevent them from using even the average processor, which is installed in last year’s Pixel 5. So I consider this theory completely unfounded, especially since they shoot “pixels” better than the iPhone.
